iX2625's 4+1 Design brings you a multi-purpose storage application

 

iX2625 not only supports the RAID X feature from its standard 4 2.5" HDDs/SSDs but also provides you another 2.5" HDD/SSD for use.  And this 5th HDD/SSD has its own SATA port for your storage application.

 

You could definitely use this 5th bay with a SSD for booting purpose for to pull up the system performance.  And the rest RAID X 4 disks could be used for data protection purpose.

 

Of course, you could use RAID X 4 disks as the booting disk together with its data protection feature, and let this 5th disk be a mobile back-up disk as well. 

RAID X gives you an equivalent data protection feature as what RAID 6 provides you

 

iX2625 could still protect your data while there are two defective HDDs/SSDs at the same time just like what RAID 6 givess you.  And also, its data transfer performance is equivalent to what RAID 0 gives you too.
