GR5640-SB3 offers multiple host interfaces of Super-speed USB3.0/eSATA and the equipped LCM enables the convenience of configuration for a desired RAID level among JBOD / RAID 5 / RAID 0 by fully taking the advantage from the larg- est supporting capacity up to 40TB above. GR5640 is not only giving a big storage capacity , but delivering data security and performance to various applications and environments.
RAID 5 for data safety & RAID 0 for high-speed performance
With RAID 5, a user will have the maximum protection of his/her data with allowance for a single drive failure but yet all data will be kept intact. In the RAID 0 mode, a user will have the benefit of a single massive volume for storage with high I/O speed, with sets of data being striped across the four enclosed drives.

Setting via LCM with ease!
Users can set up GR5640-SB3 via the LCM and buttons on the front panel while clearly knowing the real-time status of GR5640-SB3 from the LCM.
With thick Aluminum housing design, not only effectively assisting heat dissipation, but also provides a better physical protection from outer forces, even if moving GR5640-SB3 with four HDD installed there will be no concerns of excessive weight causing exterior deformation.
MCU feature to provide you in-chassis temperature control
GR5640-SB3 is also designed with the MCU feature which monitors and helps improving its in-chassis system temperature. While the system temperature rises up to 55 degree-C (131 degree-F), MCU will bump up the fans with full speed; and once system temperature goes down to 50 degree-C (122 degree-F), you could manually adjust fan switch on the rear, MCU would reduce the fan speed down to a half speed for a better green user environment from a less fan noise and lower power consumption.
In addition, if the fan fails or the device temperature is too high, the buzzer will beep and let the user know that the device has failed. The user can turn off or turn on the buzzer through the mute adjustment switch on the back panel.
